For artists & musicians
Your music.
In the rooms that matter.
Fonnify puts independent Scottish artists on the soundtrack of Edinburgh and Glasgow's best venues — legally, consistently, and with every play earning you a royalty.
Fonnify is a legal music platform for Scottish businesses. Cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques — venues that care about their sound. We build playlists around independent Scottish artists, and every play in a venue earns you a royalty through your existing PRS and PPL membership.
- Your music playing in real Edinburgh and Glasgow venues, not on an algorithm
- PPL & PRS royalties on every commercial play — the same as radio but local
- Your artist profile on the Fonnify platform with links to your socials
- Curation by people who actually know the Scottish music scene
- Free. It costs you nothing. You just need to be PRS and PPL registered.
Every venue using Fonnify holds TheMusicLicence. When your track plays, that licence generates royalties distributed by PPL and PRS for Music. You receive these automatically through your existing membership — Fonnify doesn't pay you directly, the PRO system does.
Not sure where to start? We can recommend publishers and rights administrators, and put you in touch directly. Just reach out at artists@fonnify.com.
Make sure you're registered with PPL (performers) and PRS for Music (songwriters) before you submit. Both are free to join for performers. Without this, royalties can't reach you.
ppluk.com · prsformusic.comHead to fonnify.com/for-artists and fill in the submission form. You'll upload your tracks (WAV or high-quality MP3), your artist name, genre tags, and socials. We review everything — no auto-approve.
fonnify.com/for-artistsOnce approved, our curation team places your tracks into relevant playlists. You'll get an email confirmation when you're live. From there, your plays start generating royalties via PPL and PRS automatically.
